Born in Rennes in 1972, I have been living in Paris for 19 years.

From the age of 16 I took private lessons from the painter Pierre Roughol for three years. After a year of plastic arts at the University of Rennes II Haute Bretagne, I turned to sociology and ethnology, always accompanied by a camera. After my first investigations among the Dogons in Mali, I decided to leave and settle in the Indian Ocean. I lived there for five years between Reunion Island and my ethnographic stays of several months in fishing villages in the Comoros and Madagascar. I prepared a doctorate in anthropology, obtained at the University of Reunion in 2007. I went on a mission to Mauritania in 2012.

During these years, my training as a visual artist has not left me, being part of my photographic vision. In 2003 and 2007 I directed two documentary films as part of my doctorate and the museographic project of the Kelonia Observatory (La Réunion).

Following this experience, I devoted myself for more than 10 years to raising awareness of a wide public to current social issues, primarily on environmental and climate issues in partnership with research laboratories.

My reconversion as a professional photographer since april 2021 allows me to reconcile the work of investigation linked to the reportage and the sensitization of a large public concerning the transformations implied by the climatic disruption in progress.

I obtained the module "Photographic reportage" of the continuing education of the ENSP of Arles in June 2021.

My photographic work is constantly evolving. I have always navigated between social reality and abstract forms. Very early inspired by the humanist current of Cartier-Bresson, Brassaï, Salgado, Evans, and later, deeply influenced by Robert Franck, and more recently by Michael Kenna, I try to capture through the scenes I capture the faces, the looks, the gestures, the trace of an interiority that people carry within them, recognizing myself in this in the sensibility of Dave Heath.

At the same time, fascinated by the beauty of the world and its poetic force, nature, landscapes, the sky..., the elements are the terrain of my explorations, at the border between reality and unreality, the visible and the invisible. Sometimes making of my photos pictorial paintings.
